Welcome to SNAP, the largest evidence-based repository for protein amino acid polymorphism information. SNAP gives you direct links to the data used to support any of the assignments displayed, allowing the user to check the quality of that information as well as an indication of how often a particular amino acid polymorphism has been observed. These polymorphisms are linked to dbSNP single nucleotide polymorphism accession numbers, so you can directly compare the genomic and proteomic results.

To get started using SNAP, you first need to find your protein of interest. Simply enter the ENSEMBL protein accession number for your protein, a dbSNP polymorphism accession number or some keywords describing it. Then select the type of modification you are interested in finding.
